VIP is the only rank for sale and raises a few limits.
You get more slots and small extras, and you keep the server running.
What VIP gives you
VIP is a rank you can buy. It gives you no stronger gear and no advantage in a fight. It lifts limits that get in the way day to day. On the live map every player is normally visible. With VIP you decide for yourself whether your dot shows up there.

/vip- Shows every benefit and how long yours runs.
/hidemap- Hides you on the live map.
/showmap- Shows you on the live map again.
There is no difference with land. Everyone has 1 claim with up to 250 chunks, and the top price of 250,000 coins applies to all.
Buying VIP
VIP comes as a one-off and with a term. Prices and the way to buy are on Discord. Only buy there, never from other players. After the purchase the rank appears in front of your name in chat, and the new limits apply at once.
What often goes wrong
After the purchase the rank is missing in chat.
Leave the server and reconnect. If it stays missing, open a ticket on Discord.
A second claim cannot be created.
That is not a bug. 1 claim applies to everyone, VIP included. Extend the claim you already have instead.
Somebody sells you VIP more cheaply.
Do not take the offer. Only a purchase through the official way on Discord counts.
